Update!

Well, hey guys there's a new update for your booknerd needs and what-nots.

This year is going to be perfect with all the filming and books being released. I'm going to warn you now, the blog post will be long featuring TMI, Divergent, PJO, THG, and a special something.

The Mortal Instruments

I) City of Heavenly Fire

by Cassandra Clare
May, 27th, 2014

City of Heavenly FireSummary: Darkness has descended on the Shadowhunter world. Chaos and destruction overwhelm the Nephilim as Clary, Jace, Simon, and their friends band together to fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother. Nothing in this world can defeat Sebastian—but if they journey to the realm of demons, they just might have a chance... Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world will change. Who will survive the explosive sixth and final installment of the Mortal Instruments series?

Not the TMI fandom that's for sure.

Seriously who expects us to read through the deaths of six characters that we know by name? It's the last book too. I'm not happy. I am not okay, not one single drop of happiness has reached me.

Sebastian, you evil little... I'm glaring at him. No really.

The sad thing is, I still haven't finished the end of Allegiant, apparently that's even worse.

Anyways, get more info on the book at Cassandra Clare's website here.

II) CoA Movie Postponement

This has been news for a while, but The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes will be likely to be "shelved" since the first movie hadn't been a success.

To make matters worse, the cast might even be replaced in the time that the movie's script is being changed up. I really hope they do stick to the book.

I had just got my friend into the TMI fandom and she asked me when the movie was coming out (I know most of this stuff) and I was like "Never, with Sony being a b****"

She still didn't understand what I was saying so I told her the ticket sales for the first movie was not great. We both got seriously depressed because that it what Cassie and the whole fandom does to people. Not kidding.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I)Percy Jackson's Greek Gods

by Rick Riordan
August 19, 2014
The Lightning ThiefWho's not excited for a book that comes out a day after Percy Jackson's birthday?!?!

I sure am. It's because of some publishing issues that they had to make it a day late, but still pretty significant, isn't it?

What do you think for the art on the cover? I think that everyone but Zeus and Poseidon look okay. I mean really, the film even portrayed them better than this. They are not two fat guys that are shirtless staring down at Percy Jackson.

It's sad that Annabeth isn't on the cover though. (I'm pouting, but you really can't see my face.)

Read more about it here.

II) Blood of Olympus

by Rick Riodan
October 7, 2014

I checked some of the PJO websites on Facebook earlier in the morning and I'm happy to know the book is coming out a day earlier than it was last year. I also don't want to breeze through it because sadly, it's going to be the end of Percy Jackson's adventures that we read of in books -and not if there's a probability short stories.- These series has been there for me all throughout my middle school years so it seems fitting to end when I start high school next school year.

Unfortunately, I still cannot get the front cover of the book although I believe there is a summary. And there is.

Though the Greek and Roman crew-members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them, and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake. The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps. The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

So a little FYI- Rick Riordan has never even watched Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief that was directed by Chris Columbus saying that it would change his perspective in how he saw the characters. (Rick's twitter is @camphalfblood)

It is also a running joke from Uncle Rick's twitter that there is going to be a new movie coming out. One  that the PJO fandom has never heard before. It is named Percy Jackson and the Curse of Titanium.

A fun fact to add to your day. Probably the weirdest ship name ever is Person. Take a guess.... No, not Percabeth, Percico, Perlia... How about Thalia's brother, perhaps, Jason? Percy x Jason. Person. Nice ship name, I prefer Percabeth and Jeyna and then there's Jason/brick fanfictions.

Update!: John Green Stuff

Yes, I stole Ivy's thing. Whatever, I wanted to talk about this. – Nick

For those of you who don't follow John Green on Youtube, I suggest you do so right now. His blog is the best way to get news on his books, and it's also hilarious. Go here.

Those of you who do follow his blog probably know the following two news things, but read anyway because I'm gonna talk about them.

A new book?
First up, yes, John Green is writing a new book!! It's probably going to be called The Racket, and only a little of it has been written yet. John can still scrap it if he doesn't like it, but still. It's a John Green book; how can it not be good? We still know absolutely nothing about the content of the book, but I'm pumped for it. It's been too long since a John Green book came out.

TFiOS poster!
The first promotional poster for The Fault in Our Stars was released! Here's what it looks like:

Amazing, right? There are three things that stand out to me when looking at this poster:

1. The same font as the book. I don't know why I love this font so much; I just do. I think it represents the story well: the fact that it's not a fancy, perfect love story, but a messy one that's realistic.
2. Hazel's cannula. It's a great sign that they're adding small details like this. In the book, a big theme is that they don't just have cancer, they have to go through cancer and all of the trouble it gives them, like having to wear a cannula all day long.
3. The tagline. When you looked at the tagline for the first time, you probably (like me) thought that it was horrible. It makes the whole story into a terrible pun. It seems like such a bad way to sum on the story. Not really—think about it. Isn't that exactly what Hazel would say?

On that thought, here's to hoping that we get a trailer soon! The Fault in Our Stars comes out June 6!

House of Hades!!!

Well, what do you think?

Just three more days until "All Hades breaks loose".

Let's see what's major in the book?

Percabeth, Tartarus, Annabeth, Percy, Hades, Percabeth --did I say that twice?-- and Percabeth.

Moving on if you haven't already read an excerpt for The House of Hades, click here. Or paste this link to your browser. http://a.dolimg.com/en-US/publishing/HouseofHades_chapter_one.pdf

On The Heroes of Olympus | Partners, there is a lot of action going on for the books. But the main thing is Rick Riordan reading a part of The House of Hades. ASDFGHJKL!!! Fangirling right now!!!

And before I go into any photos, I want to link you to Rick Riordan's blog, Myth and Mystery. Well, we have a deleted scene to look at.  Nancy Bobofit! Can you believe it?

Click here to see the scene.

It's Eros/Cupid as the picture says. Way
to go, Captain Obvious. But what's with
the eyes?
I dunno, he seems mechanical... *Shiver*

Nyx is scary... I'm wasn't even going to be polite about it.

She looks rather fancy in that chariot (?) and party dress.

But do you think this photo looks more professionally done than the one on top?

The moment that you haven't been waiting for. A really ugly Percy and Annabeth. If I had to say, the younger versions were better than these.

I'm too tired to get a comparison, but you can always see the enlarged version on the link I put up earlier.

Update!

I know that September was a busy month for sure. But we have a lot to look forward to after the first month of the school year for students and the end of summer for everyone.

I have been on Instagram and Facebook and I'm getting many things that we should hope for that will be coming. In this post, the following topics will be discussed (isn't necessarily in order):
  • The Fault in Our Stars movie is being filmed
  • The City of Ashes movie is postponed
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them  is being filmed
  • The House of Hades release
  • Allegiant book leaked
First up is The House of Hades. I know I did a post on this before, but just because there's only 9 days left until it is released! I have already pre-ordered it, but for those who didn't I would say to just drive your car to the local bookstore.

The City of Ashes movie has been postponed for filming. I have found a post off Instagram with news about the movie update. CoB had a bad debut for the whole series. This is to add that Sony found the script of CoA to be lacking and has cut the fund in half. Unless the movie has a good film script, the movie should start filming in 2014 and released in 2015. You can read more on it at Google or click here

The Fault in Our Stars has started to film and John Green is really excited with it. You can tell with his "vlogbrothers" posts on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. He's really into the movie set to. Go check out the following video of the TFIOS set.

Tell me if you're happy with the cast. Shailene Woodley (Hazel Grace) --who is also playing Tris in Divergent-- and Ansel Elgort (Augustus Waters) --Caleb from Divergent. That might be a little weird going from siblings to lovers in this movie.

Just mentioning, did you notice, John Green always brushing his hair back? I did!

Anyways, next topic: Allegiant book leak. Veronica Roth has said on her Goodreads account that some Allegiant books had had an issue with shipping and some mistakes were made resulting in some readers recieving their books before 10-22. This happened in Canada and Roth wasn't really thrilled about this because she says that she was waiting for the day when the last book in the trilogy would be released. I'm guessing that's not going to happen now. Let's just hope those people who have gotten the book don't spoil it for the rest of us on the internet. Read more about the issue clicking here. If you couldn't get to the webpage, just copy and paste this to your browser or click on it. http://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_posts/4930806-about-that-allegiant-leak

It's getting late. I'm pretty sure all the Potterheads know that a new movie will be based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It isn't an adventure based on Harry, but it's his wizarding world is it not. Warner Bros. and Jo (J.K. Rowling) are partnering up for this movie as Jo is writing the screen play script. I'm sure this is going to turn out well. Read more about it on Google.

That's it for the Update and bye!
